Pacific

Pacific

Children across the Pacific face significant challenges accessing quality education. Our Spark Box was launched to reach remote communities with limited power, internet and physical resources. We’ve travelled across mountains, jungles and oceans to make sure children in the Pacific can learn to read, so they can read to learn.

LEARNING SOFTWARE

Elevate: Pacific

Elevate: Pacific comes pre-loaded on Spark Boxes to build children’s foundational literacy and numeracy despite limited internet and electricity. It is delivered in English, the most common language of instruction across the region, with illustrations, songs and content tailored to be culturally relevant to children in the Pacific.

Amplifying Voices to Build Resistance

CLIMATE & DISASTERS

The Solomon Islands, like many Pacific island nations, is looking ahead to a dire future of disappearing homes and increasingly frequent and severe natural disasters due to climate change.

When running Writers’ Workshops in Solomon Islands communities, it quickly emerged that key themes of building disaster awareness, preparedness and resilience were paramount concerns.

Children’s books are a powerful way to build literacy, share knowledge and tell the stories that matter most to communities.
