Writers Workshops

Writers Workshops

Library For All’s Writers Workshops are a powerful tool for engaging communities in the value of literacy while telling the stories that matter to them. We work with new, emerging and experienced writers to create engaging manuscripts that reflect community interests and cultural perspectives.

Community Workshops

Our Writers Workshop teams deliver fun, informative story sharing opportunities in the communities we serve. Participants will explore educational themes, develop culturally appropriate writing skills and learn about the publishing workflow.

Corporate and Expert Content Workshops

A library for all requires all kinds of books. We complement our local content by inviting other expert contributors, such as educators, academics or corporate teams, to enjoy a Writers Workshop and bring the joy of reading to children.

“I had the opportunity to talk about what really happens in my home, in my culture, in my community. What kind of life we live and what kind of culture we live. If people in other countries read those books, they will find out something different about us that they haven’t heard before. I feel very proud about it.”

Simon Etuare, Kiribati

“Today, I am officially a published author! This was a challenging and very rewarding team activity. I gained new appreciation for the writing process and for the editors and illustrators who brought our words to life.”

Sabooh Whitelaw, Origin Energy

Reaching readers in mother tongue languages

Library For All created 300 unique titles in Kiribati, including 104 written by local authors. 60,000 copies were distributed so that every primary school in Kiribati could enjoy a library of culturally relevant books.
